Why not pick up a new coin book?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I feel for ya; I live in a very large city and cannot find any good coin shops or shows.

    coinfreak,

I feel for you too. I live where the only dealer is a real shady fellow. I can't even go into his shop without him being a real stuck-up butt. I live in rural Southwest louisiana and there isn't anything coin related around for hundreds of miles. I went to a show in beaumont, TX but it only had about 20 tables. Still nice though. Help me too!

Do you get either Coin World and/or Numismatic News? I like getting a dose of coin news every week.

Get rolls from the bank. Rolls of halves are always a treat but even nickels are loads of fun.
    I collect circulated U.S. silver
