D Lawrence auctions??

I have bought a couple coins from D Lawrence and was happy with them. However, I've never partcipated in one of their online auctions. Got a e-mail from them today about their current auction. Is anyone ever been in one of their auctions? Similiar to Heritage? Thanks.

I am also a customer of DLRC and participated in a recent auction to test it out. I didn't win, but it was very easy to do and his email notification status on your bids is excellent. I can't compare it to Heritage, though.

I noticed a coin in an auction. They used to have an asking price of $470. I bid minimum bid of $290 and won it! Fabulous coin!

I used to play UncleWiggly as a kid! I think my parents hated the game!

Is there any way to list the auction contents by coin type, or on one page? It's a PITA to list 25 at a time...

Link to Dlawrence web for auction is the link and there's a click-on that says auction in progress.. I did find one page for the auction where there was a category index for the auction. But now I can't find it again.

I just found where to go for the coin type list for the auction. Scroll down past the " Web auction in progress" and near the bottom left is "listings for internet auction #5"

I don't even know how to play Uncle Wiggly. But I guess if I'm Uncle Wiggly, I had better go find out!! I remember my nursey storybook with Uncle Wiggly in it.

I think it was a very simple childs game where you rolled dice or picked up a card, and moved spaces forward to try to get to Uncle Wiggly's house. You'd land on a space with alligators or something and go backwards or miss a turn.

I threw out a low bid to see how it works. You can select a catagory so you don't have to go through all the lots 25 at a time.

I bought a 1873 closed 3 - 3cent nickel in PR64 that was a very smooth transaction.

Then in my last near transaction, I was looking for either a nice PR seated dime or shield nickel, they really dropped

the ball, I figure that there are plenty of dealers out there, so they are on my black list for the time being.

I don't begrudge anyone their profit, but 15% buyer's fee on an net-only auction? No catalog to prepare, no ballroom to rent, no travel expenses? Kind of high. From what I noticed, about 80% of the lots have no bids with under 10 minutes to go.

I bought a 1942 Ty1 proof nickel in one of their auctions a couple of weeks ago.

Everything went very smoothly, and I ended up getting the coin for a nice price,
so I'm happy!
