Too many changes in coins?

It would certainly be nice to change and update all the circulating coinage but it can be taken too far.

As long as the designs are patriotic and attractive (NEVER TO BE ASSUMED), I have no problems with updates across the board.

However, what I consider attractive and what others consider attractive is another story.

Once the state quarters and new nickels are done, they should get the best sculptors available, and create new desgins with a really nice picture of Liberty and an eagle for every denomination in 1960s-type relief, and leave them like that for at least 50 years, at which time they can change the portraits and images. And don't use any old depictions of Liberty either. Too many commemorative programs make a complete set difficult to get and cheapen the look of a low relief collection even further. If they must have circulating commemoratives, pick one denomination and have no more than 3 a year.
