Did someone say a seller can't have negatives and a 100% positive rating?

    2 negatives
    divided by 13514 total feedbacks
    = .0001479% negative
    so that makes
    99.99986
and my guess is that their
    sytem simply rounds after
    99.999

I also have a negative (a retallitory one from a non paying bidder after I negged him) - but I have 5400 feedback w/ 2200 different users and I'm still at 100%. I'm still pissed I have a negative w/o doing anything wrong, but I'm still at 100%.
Now if I got that negative early on in eBay, say within 100 transactions, then I don't think the system could put me past 99.9%
So I guess it all depends when you get one...jay

I have 1 retalitory neg from my first month on ebay
and even though I have done like 1600 transactions
since then and I am stuck at 99.9%

  • My guess is repeat buyers or sellers left the neg. Multiple feedback from the same users only impact your rating with the first post.

    Jay,
I just gave you another negative.........now the first one won't seem so bad image

If you want to feel better just take a look at the MLB standings in today's paper.
  • Thats nothing, I had a guy bombard me last month he bid on 144 of my buy it now auctions and left me 44 negatives and 10 neutrals that he bid on. And it still came out to 100% positive feedback rating, lucky that negative only counts as 1 feedback per user ID. I reported the guy and he quickly became NARU and I got all feedbacks removed in a few hours. Then the Idiot came back a few days ago and bid again under a different ID, and left negatives for 37 people after biding on buy it now auctions. Then left negative feedback for everyone. Quickly he became NARU again, and this time I had requested ebay to remove the negative, which they did. But some how I got suspended for 30 days in the process which doesn't seem right since I reported him. Now the negatives has been removed but the number of negative feedback "1" still shows up. Which I can't do anything about it until after my 30 days are up. Sheesh!!! I'm still at 100% though.

I don't plan on offering "buy it now" any more, there are just too many fake bidders ruining everyones auctions, just because they think it's funny.

    What;s the rationale behind that?
