The pictures are awful, so I can't render much of a judgement. The coin looks like it has been polished, but it might just be an artifact of the picture.
Thanks WYBRIT. Its my B-Date so look interesting enough to own. I have several coins I know very little about from 1958 as just a collection of B-Date coins from around the world. Kinda cool. Thanks, Again
You know, 1958 is a pretty tough year to assemble a Grat Britain date set if you are after top notch coins.
The coins available are: Halfpenny (easy) Threepence (hard) Sixpence (easy) English Shilling (hard) Scottish Shilling (quite a bit easier than the English shilling) Florin (hard) Halfcrown (hard)
Since pennies were not minted 1954-1960, date sets of those years were less attractive. Also, there was a total lack of interest in Cu-Ni coins, which made top grade 1954-1960 examples quite scarce and still very undervalued today.
Thanks Wybrit.........That would have taken me two years to research that much. What a knowledgeable guy. (Thanks, I really mean it.) You guys are great in helping us newbie darksiders figure things out. Said with much appreciation.........Walt
