What do you think this bidder was thinking?

It isn't often you stumble across an item that hasn't advanced beyond the opening bid amount yet has 13 bids. I had to place a bid myself just to see where it would fall among his entries. With feedback over 700, you'd think this guy would understand how the proxy system works.

Maybe 13 is his lucky number?

He don't want you having that coin!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I have had bidders do that. But then they ended up paying way more than they needed to pay for an item since they "outbid" themselves. I always just shake my head. image

Marty, he placed those 13 bids *before* mine. I just placed a low-ball bid to see where in the list it would fall. Check the times on that list again.

Even after a few hours sleep I can't figure it out.

There is a bidder that bids on Irish Easter up-rising silver 10 shillings (I know darkside stuff....oooooo) that does this very thing. He will bid on a shilling when it's first listed several times. He always pays more for the item....if he wins it.
