Question for Jefferson Experts

Hello lightsider friends - I was going through a few Federal Reserve rolls of 1964 Jeffersons when I came upon this. It appears to be a clipped planchet - these are uncirculated coins but they all seem to have a very weak strike. Is this (clipped planchett) a common occurrence? is it a good thing to keep?

Sorry about the poor pictures. Any info I would appreciate.

It's actually double-clipped, one at K-11 and another smaller one at K-6. Clips aren't terribly rare on 1964-D nickels (though I've not heard of many people finding them in a roll), it might be worth anywhere from $2-$5 on eBay. Nice find, definitely worth keeping for a conversation piece, if not for your retirement portfolio. image

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

I'd keep it. It's worth more than a nickel! image
