There is a lot of discussion about the accuracy (or inaccuracy) of the population reports. In a previous thread, I have listed some proof gold coins in which the number of coins in the NGC and PCGS population reports exceeds the total number minted. While the population reports will never be perfect, PCGS should try to make them as accurate as possible.
To that end, I propose that in lieu of the 50 cent rebate for returned tags, PCGS put an entry for each tag returned in the name of the person who returns the tag in a raffle for a serious coin. Like a High Relief Saint. Or an MS-65 Saint. Or a different desirable coin each quarter, one that would truly incentivize collectors and dealers who crack slabs to return the tags.
