Small GSA Hoard ....Back From Across the Street
These were some GSA Morgans that my dad bought for us kids back in 1973 from the Mint.
I still have the mailers with our names on it!
After having had the collection raided and stolen several times over the years these were some of the few pieces that survived. I sent them into NGC to be graded in the holders.
I also had NGC take pictures but the resolution was so poor I will have to wait and shoot some fresh ones. The MS66 pic is linked below. This is the NGC picture I was sent.
Coin List
Coins for invoice number 2502098 Line
Item Year Mint
Mark Variety/Pedigree Denom. Proof Grade Strike
Char Comments
001 1884 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 65
002 1882 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 63
003 1882 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 66
004 1883 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 63 PL
This was a 12 business day submission. It only took 6 calender days for the pictures and 12 calander days for the grades. If the coins get here by Friday the door to door turn around be 11 business days. Not bad!

Nice post Dab!
Perhaps the price is just too steep.
Is your conscience at rest if once put to the test?
You awake with a start to just the beating of your heart.
Just one man beneath the sky,
Just two ears, just two eyes.

I'm glad to see that you were able to save a few and they turned out to be nice.
I've sent in two groups of GSAs recently, and the turn around for both groups was 2 weeks, door-to-door
