Ebay auction of uncut '86 Fleer Michael Jordan

Unsure of the 'authenticity'? The product would answer that.

My guess is that those are eight fake Jordan RCs

don't the real fleer sheets have the entire set?
  • Has to be fake, I'm pretty sure Fleer only made them in complete set sheets.

Print quality looks very much like the fakes were printed. I doubt Fleer would have left any space between the cards on the sheet either or else we would have seen plenty of Jordan's with white around the border from factory miscuts that were even slightly off. I agree with the last two posters also, Fleer produced sheets with cards from the entire set on them, not just Jordan.

this guy is in my city. i wonder where the estate "sail" was that he bought these from, because I can GUARANTEE 99% that he did not buy them from any estate sale of a "big collector" here in Jacksonville.

Why would you buy from someone who doesn't know the difference between "sale" and "sail?"

It's auctions like this that confirm to me that the war on drugs isn't working, since the seller must be smoking some serious rocks to come up with some of his auction descriptions: (need a Nolan Ryan "ROKKIES"?, and whomever is auctually biding on that Jordan reprint sheet has to be high. There was an article in either SMR or Beckett a couple of months ago that detailed how the 1986-87 Fleer sheets were printed (they were discussing why cards like the Wilkins rooke, etc. are so hard to find in gem mint shape). Fleer didn't print the cards in "player only" sheets (That's an Upper Deck thing).
    Who is Rober Maris?
  • Yes they're fake. I ahve 2 sheets of them for display purposes...It's one of the Canadian versions with the light yellow "arrow" by the Fleer logo.... medium-thin card stock. Pretty cool though> image
