Well its time to start another set. I am slowly building the 1954 Topps set in 7's but I decided to build a high grade Carlton Fisk set. I posted a want list on the vinage trading board with no hits. I am looking for 1970's Fisks in 9's as well as 80's and 90's Fisk in 10's. Please PM me if you have anything available.
Man this Set Registry is addicting.
Thanks again to all that helped with my project. With all the other rooms under construction I have not started the bar yet but I am going to start soon on a trial end table. This should give me Cheaper experience with the two part pourable Epoxy.
Thanks,
Glen

About eight years ago I was in Half Moon Bay, CA (about 20-30 miles south of San Francisco) at an outdoor seafood restaurant. When I arrived there, just before they led me and my family to a table, there was a man sitting nearby who looked too much like Calrton Fisk that it HAD to be him. But being that I hadn't really ever seen him in person, just on baseball cards and TV, I felt nervous about asking him. At one point while I was staring at him, he looked up at me and had this unusual look, almost as if he WANTED me to ask him who he was. It was weird. Anyway, I never did ask him, and he and his wife (I presume it was his wife) left shortly after.
I really wish I would have asked him. If it WAS him, this would actually be a cool memory, and he probably would have been flattered because nobody else there seemed to be paying him any mind. If it WASN'T him, then the person still could have been flattered for being mistaken for somebody famous.
I just added a 1981 Fisk PSA 9 to Ebay. Check it out. Id love it to go to a good home (an appreciative collector) for sure.
