Sending to Italy
I sent one package to Italy once - full of Subbuteo table soccer figures and accessories. Never heard if it arrived and never got feedback or an email response from the buyer (it was sent insured).
One of my auctions today was won by a bidder from Italy. I offered three options:
(1) Regular airmail (including proof of mailing)
(2) Registered mail
(2) Insured air parcel post (a heckuva lotta money).
I seem to remember some frustrations sending things there. Please post your successes and failures there and what you would do differently.
Thanks.

Anything over this range I'd ask for bidpay payment for regular airmail, if paying through paypal registered mail is a must.

The only problem I've had to date is insured air first class (might as well have been parcel). The 9# + box was delivered to the country in question, but no notice was ever left for the addressee. We figured it for stolen, but here it comes back to me about 14 weeks later, 'return to sender'......
And, how is it that the US can only get $40 on top of a Registered mailing when the UK and Switzerland (in my experience) can get about $800-2000 in coverage??????
Bottom line is they have to understand they are AT RISK.
