Baley's Half Eagle image. I owned a similar dream coin and hope to own another someday. The is something about that design in gold that makes it more appealing to me then even the St. Gauden's Double Eagle.

It would have to be this Morgan pattern half dollar if it actually exists which is doubtful. The Judd book lists this coin as J1508 but it remains unconfirmed. The design exists in copper (J1509) with 7 confirmed specimens including an example plated in silver which is probably where the J1508 designation arose.

The image is a composite of J1504 (obverse) and J1510 (reverse)

The problem with this thread is I have looked at a bunch of other people's dream coin wish and said, "yep, that one too"

Let me add a 1873-s standard silver dollar to my list.

A 1909-O $5 Indian MS66 PCGS (or higher grade if one exists). I believe homerunhall once owned one that was at least MS65.
I'd rather be lucky than good.

On my post about the 1894-s barber dime, I would actually rather have the circ one than the higher grade proof myself.

Actually any tough date Morgan in PCGS ms 64 or better would do.

That 1916 PCGS 67FH SLQ from Wondercoin is one of the most beautiful coins of that date I have ever seen. I am wondering if this is a coin from the collection of fellow board member "Just Having Fun"... he has a few duplicate 1916 SLQ's in that grade !

Fess up, Oscar, is that one of your duplicates ?

    << <i>One dream coin ? That's tough.

Okay, I guess I'd rather have an 1898-O Micro O Barber Half Dollar in PCGS AU 58, than anything else right this minute. (The 94-S dime is a close runner up though). >>

Mike, I'll see your 98-O Micro O in PCGS XF45 and add a 92-O Micro IN PCGS XF45.

    That would be cool.

Some private issue Panama Pacific expo silver quarter dollar... it features a laborer one the obverse and a tree with the ocean on the reverse. It's amazing. I've only seen a pic of it once, in PCGS plastic.
