Looking to trade my 1962 Topps #150 Al Kaline "Regular Tint" PSA-8 for your 1962 Topps #15

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Hi,

I would like to ask four your help towards completing my 1962 Topps Master Setwhich when finished will include a complete run of both the Series 2 "Green Tints" and the regular or corrected version of these cards. I have two PSA-8 regular versions of the Al Kaline card and would like to trade for a PSA-8 Green Tint version.

To the best of my knowledge, both versions have equal value. PSA does not differentiate between the 2 versions in the SMR or the Set Registry.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the difference in these cards, attached is a scan of the regular version of this card in a PSA-8 holder and the green tint version in a PSA-7 holder. Kaline

As the term "green tint", indicates, the card has a pale-appearance green background and is additionally characterized as having poorer focus than the regular version card. Many consider the Green Tint version to be the least desirable card due to these "defects".

As stated above, my preference would be to trade, but will consider purchase.

Please feel free to reply here, by PM or at seinbigd@hotmail.com.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

  • Hi Steve,

I'm kind of hesitant to post this, because I'm not really looking to sell this card. But I think it is the one you are looking for and would like to help. The corners and centering are really nice, but I always wondered about the lack of focus. I think your information explains it well.

You can email me at mccanna@erols.com to discuss.....but unfortunately no guarantees you can talk me out of it.
