anybody have a picture of a Richard II penny?

I have a silver penny that i THINK is a Richard II, at least per the meagre picture plates offered in the
1974 ed. of England Coins & Their Values. My piece shows a tall neck, thick bushy hair, a tiny cross on
the chest and on the reverse, a cross with a quartrefoil in the center.

Weren't those struck with somebody else's name on them?

  • That's one problem-- I don't have a legend to go by-- it's pretty clipped in the legend area.
  • Coach, don't know if this will help but there's one at the bottom of this page. Text
  • Thanks python-- hard to say, since in that pix, it's kind of smudged where the tiny cross would be. Otherwise, it resembles my coin, though on mine, the neck might just be a tad longer, possibly.
