Another Jodi-Mo beauty!

Just saw this items up on ebay this morning.

The ebay id # is 4132878451. If anyone could provide a linko that would be appreciated!

It appears from this listing that Mr. Moser has started his own grading company called Gem Elite.

Gary's old company name used to be Gem Sportscards, so I guess that he has upgraded to the "Elite" status now and does his own grading.

Check out the razor sharp coners on this 66' Clemente, I guess this one must have even flunked the PRO 8.5 grade so he decided to grade it himself and give it the "9".

Un-freakin believable!

  • gem elite isn't owned by gary
  • .....then I aplogize.

Then who is Gem Elite and what is their backround?

How could they possibly grade this card as MINT when your naked eye can see the touched corners?

Thanks Mudflap for the link and scan!

At a casual glance it looks to be about 6 EX-MT. Which I suppose equates to Mint in the language of PRO and these other "Name Your Own Grade" services. The card may not be totally worthless ... there is a chance it has not been trimmed.

The GEM Elite service was started by GEM Grading to compete(?) with the other services that give a breakdown of grades for corners, surface, etc. The back of the flip lists the grades, and they give half points like the others.

It is supposedly better than their regular service.

I recently broke out a card that was rated GEM Elite Pristine 10. It had such a bad corner the surface gloss was broken and the bare paper showed. Some grading huh?
