Carlos Quentin - 10 homers now ( Arizona )
Jason Stokes - 12 homers now. Back on track as one of the next big sluggers to come up soon. Sleeper card - 2000 H.S All Americans Auto/1000. Released 2 years before any true rookie card and his first auto. ( Florida )
Ian Bladergroen - 11 homers, high average ( Mets I think )
Jeremy Hermida - no secret here, but I do think he is ready. The said he was the best pure hitter in the '02 draft as it was. He can make the leap next year, and I think Florida knows this. 20-25 home run power also. ( Florida ) Start grabbing some cards now. Especially the Prospect Premieres which could be had for around $17 a card.
Guys who are struggling:
Alexis Rios - 2 hits today, but this was after a really long period with little hits. Batting like .260 now For all the "card hype", I would say he is struggling. The power isn't even there. I think 4 homers.
Rickie Weeks - .262, 2 HR, 11RBI's in 130 at bats. High strike outs also.
Guilermo Quiroz - .258, 2 HR, 8 RBI's in 66 at bats. Not top prospect material at this point. He's also hurt I believe.
Ian Stewart is doing great, Fielder isn't doing bad ( lots of homers, but K's a lot ), and D'Antona is impressing each and every day.

7 MVP awards, the single season HR record, career walks record, single season walks record, 700HR/500SB, and two batting titles near 40 years old. How can one argue that those aren't stats of the greatest to ever play the game??? All this and there is still more to come!!!! Bonds:2005 NL MVP. Or are you going to doubt him again?

Proudly buying your rookie cards since 1987.
<< <i>Figures im loading up on rickie weeks and now he is tanking!! >>
Hey, to each his own, but that is why I would never spend a dime on that guys rookies. All way too high. Not too much growth potential. Now when the cards come down, I may buy one Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor for what the regular issues were going for about 3 months ago. Very possible. Ok, maybe an Xfractor then.
The other guys I mentiones are much cheaper with lots of room for growth still.
