Back to cards! Two questions - short answers please.

based on your own opinion, facts, etc.. I would like to ask the board who they think will:

Win the Lakers/Minnesota series ( Does Minnesota even have a shot?!?! )

Who will be in the World Series in October.

7 MVP awards, the single season HR record, career walks record, single season walks record, 700HR/500SB, and two batting titles near 40 years old. How can one argue that those aren't stats of the greatest to ever play the game??? All this and there is still more to come!!!! Bonds:2005 NL MVP. Or are you going to doubt him again?

The players on the Lakers cards will defeat the players depicted on the Timberwolves cards.

The players on the Yankees cards will face the players on the Astros cards, I hope.

    Lakers

    Hoping for:
    Angels
    Astros

    Wouldn't be surprised if:
Yankees (if they can jell by year end)
Cubs (there is no curse of the goat, just bad play for 60 years)

    Would be surprised if:
Red Sox (there is a curse of the Bambino and that's a fact)
    Marlins (tough to repeat)

Lakers are playing some of the best ball I have seen them play all season - they did a great job of defending KG - now tonite if Minn. can get KG to 'feed' the ball when double teamed - there's a man open - but right now - the bench for LA is a killer - look what they did to a great SA team - adjusted the triangle - clogged the lanes - kept Parker from ez layins and took away his 3 pointer....IMO, I don't think any team right now is strong enough to beat them. Even tho Minn holds the season record against LA - in most of those games key players were MIA/KIA - now you have them all hitting - ya gotta like Fisher - didn't he play Elvin on the Cosby Show?
Baseball? I'm affraid of that one? There is more potential parity in the leagues than there has been in years - money is not working this year IMO.

This is NOT the Super Bowl, this is definitely not 2003. Stick to something you know even a little about. Oh, wait that would be NOTHING. OK, stick to nothing and keep your word-hole shut. Just be sure to pay me the $10 G's you owe me from Miami whuppin' up on the Criminoles/Seminothings in the Orange (and Green) Bowl in January.image

typical toppsgun post.....come on man, I know you are the bad pick god, but give us just two teams
instead of half the league. Are you going to have the sack to show up at this years football smack
post with one team or are you going to wear the bandwagon sign the whole year?

    Let us know

NBA - I could care less ... anyone but the Lakers

    Phillies and Yankees.

Phillies win in the ninth inning of Game 7 on an Arod error.

This is so true. Didn't even think about it that way. Got teams?

I think the Lakers will win even tough I hate them. That will give Phil Jackson a ring for every finger unless he is missing some. 10 to be exact.

World Series - Red Sox and Cubs. Highly unlikely in any given year, but I do think this may be it. Red Sox win though. I'm from Chicago, but I am just telling you what I really think. The Cubs are already having problems. No curse? I am a true believer. Prior, Wood, Sosa, all hurt. C'mon!

Stalin/ToppsGun - Please don't tell me that I rubbed off on you guys. Now it appears that I may not avoid these spats even if I want to. LOL.

Just jerking your chain pal. (FYI)

Dolphins. Thats it, Professional Football. No college, no basketball, hockey, or any other sport. Football.

  • Lakers- they always have one bad game, and game 2 was it. They'll win out their next three, esp. if Cassell is still injured. I don't think anyone outside of Garnett will continue to be hot as their were game 2.
    Baseball-
    Angels and Astros.
