Anybody know whether this eBay seller "Charon" is trustworthy?

I mean, I won this nice proof 1912A Prussian 3 Mark from him, but when it arrived, it was ... well ... ... um, er, eh ... ... (*whisper*) ... sl@bbed! Imagine my shock to learn that people think this is an acceptable form of shipping container! It could be the "NGC PF-64" grade he claims it to be, but how can you tell through all that scratched plastic? Any opinions? [PS: Thanks, Don!!]

Wow! He did that to me, too! Took a perfectly good 1911 proof British half crown and encased it in a plastic tomb. I should warn all eBay members to beware.

You had an opportunity to buy that very same coin raw from LordM, for less money, on a previous Sunday Swap...


'Twas one of my better FUN show purchases from this year. From a German dealer whose name eludes me (but who is certainly well known to some of our other Darksiders- a nice chap with nice prices.)

PS- never trust anyone who named himself after Hell's boatman. I never have gotten the story behind that!
