David,
Is it possible to contact PCGS with a certification number of a coin to find out whether a coin has been upgraded at some point during its life in a PCGS slab. I know that PCGS will not give out the slabbing date info based on PCGS certification numbers, but I have one coin that currently resides in a specific grade and am curious to see if the coin was ever sent in for a potential upgrade or actually recieved a prior upgrade.

We don't give out cert or submission history on coins. We have a fiducuary duty to submitters to respect their privacy with respect to what they do with their coins.
