Grading errors

Hi Dave. After the error coin is sent out to an error expert, does it go back into the grading room to be treated like any other coin. The reason I ask is that error coin can sometimes be a little ruff with rim damage etc. DO the graders bag all of these or do they understand that it is mint caused damage.

Hi Big,

I believe the graders grade errors for what they are and take weirdness as it comes. I don't think they worry about rim nicks on errors...depending upon the error.
