Hockey card question, Why 1933???

Canadian gum, Hamilton Gum, Opeechee, World Wide Gum. Nothing in 1932. Nothing in 1934. Why were there all of a sudden all these sets in 1933, then they disappeared. I've always liked the Canadian gum issue and hope to complete the set very soon.

a question i've always pondered myself. i can understand few sets during the '40's because of wartime restrictions, but the sparse distribution of sets during the 30's is strange.

btw, the Canadian gum issue is sweet. that and C57 are my two favorite prewar sets
  • once I get all my c57's and canadian gum cards graded, I will be posting all the scans in the set registry. I hate when people complete a set, then lock it away. I plan on letting the world see all these cards. that's the point of a collection, to enjoy it and share. I wonder how many people have actually seen every single card from the C57 set. That has to be a low amount of people.
  • I forgot to add the V128 set as well.
  • Sorry V129
