New MY EBAY page design... how do you like it?

while it does give you more info (like shipping cost)
and more options (like sorting your sales by buyer)

it seems too "busy" or maybe it is just strange....

Thoughts?

Too busy is a good way of putting it... I like some of the new features, but I don't need to see little thumbnail pictures of all the items I am bidding on or watching or won. Just bogs down the info I need. But, I'll get used to it!
  • Keith,

Clicking "picture" in the bar above the listings turns the images on or off.

Edited to say, "I'm wrong." Clicking on picture simply groups the items with pictures together.

    BKAH,

There was a thread on the registry board about the new "My Ebay" page. When I find it, I'll edit this post to provide a link.

  • Not a big fan. Too confusing initially. maybe I need to give it time. I was alot more comfortable with the other.

7 MVP awards, the single season HR record, career walks record, single season walks record, 700HR/500SB, and two batting titles near 40 years old. How can one argue that those aren't stats of the greatest to ever play the game??? All this and there is still more to come!!!! Bonds:2005 NL MVP. Or are you going to doubt him again?

Use the customize option to display only what you want.

    I think its great.

    Loves me some shiny!

Love the feature that lets you see how many people are watching your auctions, other than that it's a mess.

Being able to see up to 60 days of your own selling history is really great - I had forgotten about some items that didn't sell back in March, now I can relist them very easily.

Takes a little getting used to (like any other site redesign), but I'm giving this one two thumbs up just based on new flexibility ...

  • I f**n hate it. The old one used to show bid totals and selling totals, this doesn't. How do I tell if I have left a buyer feedback yet? Its fairly obvious on the bidding side. How do I tell if payment is pending or has been processed, the old one was clear as crystal.

I think the layout sucks and is way to busy.

what happened to being able to invoice a buyer
of Multiple auctions on ONE invoice?

Now if you have someone that wins more than one
of you auctions, and you click on send Invoice, it will
only show THAT auction, when before it would list
all the wins that user had with you...

The biggest thing I miss is the large "Paid" icon that let you know you paid for an item. Now, it's just a tiny dollar sign grouped in with two other icons.

I also wish they'd go back to justifying the whole page flush against the left margin...then it probably wouldn't look so busy.

Summary: the new concepts are okay (esp. the number of "Watching" bidders), but the cosmetics need some nips 'n tucks.

This is the one thing I wish they'd change, otherwise I like it especially being able to watch more than 30 items.

I dislike it so far. It doesn't seem accurate, either...it is showing several auctions I paid for as "unpaid". Plus, it is very confusing in its layout, I can't tell what I bought or sold as easily as before.

Having 100 items on the watch list is great. It was easy to bump up agains the 30-item limit. Other than that, it seems a little too overwrought with so many different pages.

I've come to dig it, and actually did so pretty quickly after I realized that the customizing features were pretty extensive.

Maybe it was a temporary glitch when you tried it. I just tried it and it showed the multiple wins by one bidder and I was able to combine them like before.
I really don't like it though. They should have just left it alone.

    how?

I still get just the one auction showing
when I click on the Send Invoice button
on the sold items of My Ebay?!

That's all I did. I hit the "send invoice" button from My Ebay sold items on the one auction, and both auctions showed up on the next page. I didn't do anything different.
  • I agree with xbaggypants about seeing how many people are watching your item. I don’t like that it assumes that all items not paid through PayPal are “unpaid”. It’ll take a little time to get used to, but it looks nice.

  • The only thing I like about it is that you get to see how many people are watching your item so you know if you stand a chance of getting a bid.
