The auctions say some UV protection but I always wonder about cards fading when they are displayed.

    Cost too much.

    Loves me some shiny!
  • You could probaly go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and get the frames done alot cheaper.

They don't seem to fit right. Look at the way the slab sits in the mat. But they do have a patent pending on pinning your slab into the frame, so that's nice, I guess.
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay

PSA needs to start grading PSA display frames. the seller has some solid 9's for sale
  • You got it out of me. I have been refraining from posting a spoof post that I will grade your slabbed card. Your card is PSA 9 but the entire package falls to a 5 because the serial label is warped and there's a slight scratch on the slab exterior. It gets an ST qualifier as well because under the loupe, we found a booger and I hope that's an eyelash. ew!

    but give the guy credit,

Hanging graded baseball cards on a wall would look pretty tacky IMO... but if you already have a couple stuffed heads of animals you shot poking out of the wall, tacking up a few cards right above the Elvis shrine won't make any difference.

This is one of those situations where you can call me tacky cause I kind of like the idea of displaying certain cards and then changing it around from time to time - otherwise, they just sit in a box begging me to take them out and play.
My cards are special to me, they call me and the incomplete set sends me emails entreating me to complete the family.
I like BigKid's stuff - I like the organized clutter of cards/memorab. packed in my room - it offends the eye of the non-believer - but it is my place - special to me.
Sorry for opining - this is just my take.

What happens to the cards from all that light hitting them on a daily basis? Couldn't that diminish the grade, or at least the attractiveness of the card inside the holder?

BTW, I was just joking around with the other comment, no intentions of offending anyone.

I would be more worried about someone getting into my house and filling up a 33-gallon bag with all the cards on display (having been burglarized in the past). I guess people who put their collection on their wall have VERY good entry locks and alarms.

I just bought a couple penn zoni cases to see how they look on the wall. they can be had on ebay for $90 shipped for a 50 graded card case, and I think $52 for a 30 card.

    Pack
What did you think of the look? I also was considering it - BigKid build them himself and did a great job - I don't think I could do anything that good.

I will be moving in the next few weeks
to a new and bigger house....
with a finished basement with an "office"
that has no windows... and an alarm system!
so I will be REdoing the display!
