Weird medal giveaway

Found this one in my stuff. I think that it may be a so-called half dollar. Anyway...it has a couple digs in the obverse field, but someone may still want it, so I'll offer it in a giveaway. If you're interested in it, post on this thread and a winner will be randomly chosen from all posters on Wednesday evening. I may also include something else in the giveaway if I find another weirdy while going through my coins.

Interesting medal, I don't officially collect them, but I do have my share, so to start things off I will throw my name in the hat. Thanks.....image

Please don't include me in the giveaway, but I can provide some background on the medal.

It commemorates the first successful non-stop transatlantic air flight. The pilot, Fitzmaurice, was Irish and the other two crewmen were Germans. The aircraft itself was a Junker airplane and was named the "Bremen." I'm not at home, so I don't have further info at hand.

    Good luck to all!

Well, I'm a little late, but I finally got around to it. I assigned each poster a number according to their posting order. I then fed the numbers into a random numbers generator and the winner is...LordMarcovan.

Please PM me with your address and I'll send out the medal, along with other suprises that I've found in my collection.

    Thanks for playing,
    Bill
