DSL How do they do that?

DSL (Discount Sports Cards) seems to have an endless supply of raw cards to get graded. It is really amazing. I'm not complaining, on the contrary. If it were not for DSL, I wouldn't be nearly as far on my sets as I am. I just wish I had a source for raw cards like they do. Does anyone know how they do it? I might add, they are really a class act. They are one of the few sellers I will purchase from that do not take PayPal.

I've often wondered the same thing. I guess they just have a great network of dealers all over and are willing to pay more for nice cards and sets. That's a large part of what the hobby is when you deal in high end stuff and large lots of pricey material.

I've heard/seen of many stories of Darrel running around at major shows - buying out cases of product - and basically throwing away 95% of the product. They buy in bulk - strip away all the star cards - submit only the best - and sometimes take the best of the best in terms of commons. You could probably fill a few warehouses with what they've thrown away.

Contrary to what I've often heard elsewhere - I am very happy with all of my PSA 10's that I've bought from DSL - they all seem to be as good as any PSA 10s I've submitted personally or bought elsewhere...
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I wonder what pricing they get. I also feel they are a class act 100%.

I'm sure that whatever is the cheapest price that PSA gives for grading, they get it. I submit a decent amount but I am not even in their part of the stratospere. I spend nearly every waking moment looking for cards to submit and don't even get close to the quality and quantity that they find.

Just wondering if those two sentences have anything to do with each other, aside from they
    are both written about dslsports?

1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards

67Topps, not sure I understand your question, but - I agree w/Steve. I usually don't buy from Ebayers who don't take PayPal. But, I make the exception with DSL, though I hate waiting weeks and weeks for my cards from them. Worth it, though, since they seem to be the only way to get certain high grade cards these days.

I can think of a couple pricey cards from DSL and they were outstanding quality.

They shipped before the check cleared probably all of but once.
