Cards from these factory sets have a slightly curvy corners. Does PSA deduct anything for this?
Also, any tips for removing the little pieces of crud that are on the cards? Anyone who's busted one of these factory sets knows what I'm talking about.

To remove crud on these cards, use something very soft so that the surface is not scratched. 100% cotton cloth should do the trick, but you have to be very gentle and careful when wiping the surface of the card. Do not use paper towels, napkins, tissues or toilet paper. Some things are just too abrasive and flaky, but I keep hearing ill-informed people use them.

Here are the facts about 1987 and 1985 donruss cards:
1. The factory version has slightly smaller cards (top to bottom and also side to side).
2. The factory version has more rounded corners, but it is a different type of roundness than the one cause by wear. It is very easy to tell factory cards from wax ones. It is also easy to see something caused by wear and something caused by the way it was cut.
3. There is virtually no chipping on the factory cards. They are cut differently than the wax ones. The different cutting technique also accounts for the differences in corners.
If corners are rounded due to damage or wear, you can see the difference compared to the factory cut donruss. You have to see some samples and then you will know what I mean.
The 1989 Donruss rookies also have more rounded corners just like factory set versions.
Wallst32,
Sorry to hear about your 8's, but keep in mind that it may be due to a flaw that was initially overlooked like surface scratches and not because the corners were different from the wax version.
