Does anyone have any idea what theses cards are? The seller says they are an unissued publicity/insert set. Is this true? I did buy a set of these from this seller and the cards are great but absolutely no information on the card at all. If anyone knows the manufacturer and or the year of issue I would appreciate it. I've never tried linking before so if it does not work the ebay # is 4129296836.

Here's a corrected link. The '01 edition of the Beckett annual hockey guide lists some team-issued Canadiens postcards, but I can't find any mention of this set and have never heard of the O-Pee-Chee insert story. Doesn't mean it isn't true, but I would err on the side of caution and assume it's some sort of unauthorized issue.

I bought a Guy Lafleur card off Ebay as well. I believe it's from the same publicity subset and possibly from the same seller. I don't have any details except for what the seller stated in the auction. He said the card was from an unissued publicity insert set from 1971-3 and manufacturered by OPC. He said there was 22 cards in the set. There is no info on the back of the card. I've scanned the card if anyone wants to look at it: Card Scan. The link to the auction is Here. Isn't that the same Lafleur item that was pictured in a recent Canadian Sports Card Monthly with the owner or the mag asking what it was.. what's the value.. ?
