I'd bet he just wrote whatever was already on the 2x2 or envelope that held the coin and has no idea what UNC means.

That UK grading standard is confusing. UNC = un-cleaned??

he says that the coins weren't "officially" graded. Guess that gets him off the hook.

That seller has turned overgrading into an art form, Salvadore Dali comes to mind because all of the detail on that coin has melted away!
