    Since when did UPS start charging a surcharge for residential deliveries? If that is the case that will mean big bucks for UPS for the same service they have always offered.
    Collecting vintage material, currently working on 1962 topps football set.

    You get the feeling from reading that auction that we should be honored that this seller will allow us to purchase his precious 1984 Fleer box, just as long as we do not bother him too much.

    UPS doesn't charge extra for a residential address, they give a discount for a business address (or so they say). This has been the policy for at least 5 years that I know of. They will charge you the regular price if you don't say anything, if you check off the business address box on your shipping form there is a slightly better rate. They probably figure that they are going to most businesses anyway, it is the "off the beaten path" residential delivery that costs them time, and of course the re-delivery time if your not home, most business are open every day.

    Fedex ground has the same policy.
    (and regular fedex likely does too)
