I am a huge Bobby Murcer fan also. He was my favorite growing up during the Yankee leans years in the late 60's, early 70's.

I purchased this card a few months ago.

True, but I bought it for the autograph, not the jersey.

    Murcerfan,

Can you explain your fascination with Bobby Murcer? Is it his good looks? Is it the fact that he was a very decent baseball player? Where is he now? I'm sure if you called him, he would get together with you and hang out. I used to be the only guy rooting for Frank Nobilo. Every year at the Nissan Open, I would follow him and yell really supportive stuff when I was drunk at 8:30 in the morning. Frank turned out to be a great guy. Eventually, he recognized me and used to give me a special "hello" whenever I saw him. Usually, the athletes don't like to break concentration and make eye contact. Frank was just a sweet guy happy to have one huge fan.

    Scumbi,

Bobby Murcer has been a broadcaster for the Yankees since he retired. Currently he works for Steinbrenner's YES (Yankees Entertainment and Sports) Network. He can be heard regularly calling Yankee games. Although he wasn't quite up to Hall of Fame standards, he had a long and very good career. Nice guy too!

Thanks for the info. I remember him being a pretty good ballplayer. I didn't know he was the Yankee broadcaster.

    Best,
