All rainbow coins are not created the same!!! I sent a batch of "lesser" coins, got "lesser" results....oh well, at least they have color!!.....The 58P was clearly my coin of interest. Several strings ago I told how I submitted the coin to PCGS expecting a 67 and feeling it was FB....PCGS 66'd the coin....well, I got the 67* from NGC, but still no FB???? Maybe a 58 needs to be struck like a proof coin to get FB?????

And not an MS68 in sight! It's OK badboybill, a lot of us old guys are also suffering from failing eyesight.

But seriously, I have no doubt there are some humdingers in there, 49-s sounds interesting. Do you find you generally agree with NGSeas use of the *? Have you seen the pix of MrD's 52-S MS67 Frankie? Some of the most incredible colors ever on a Frank and no *image

NGC starred the three prettiest coins. Both the 58 and 49S are COOL. I think the * system is very accurate. Some I find a little lacking, but most are very nice....let me tell you about my 68* FT roosies......image

That coin is NOT one of the prettiest Mr D has stashed away......his 48D (old NGC 66 holder, 1st one made) is AMAZING (and I am jaded to color!!)....and he has the prettiest York in the world....bar NONE!!!! If he slabbed it (it is in the old York special issue holder with map) it would 69!!!!!!!!

    I'm irritated. The 60D is a 68! The 54D is a no brainer FB coin....grrrrr.

Bill, Thats why the power is in PCGS graded coins. I have found NGC to be at least a 1/2 point
Looser then PCGS in Grading the Roosies and in a lot of cases a full point.

Lets see if you can make or cross a PCGS MS68FB Roosie. Whats your 60D PCGS MS67FB
worth to you?. I'd gladly pay you $6K for it in a PCGS MS68FB holder. I owned the NGC 60D
MS68*FT and sold it for $1500. The spread between NGC and PCGS values for Roosies tells
you the market perceives NGC being quite loose with the grades.

The 60D is a 68...plain and simple....method is to submit, submit, submit, until it gets in the right holder......See, I DO UNDERSTAND!!!

What you do not understand is that the COLOR means more to me than the grade......My 67s do not look like everyone else's 67s.....imageimage

    Craig,
Funny you should ask...you know it "IS" in my set thanks to you!!!!.... Another killer roosie added thanks to my roosie friends on the West Coast.....Thanks for the photo, as I'm computer illiterate......The photo is neat, but you could not capture the underlying lustre which is booming....This 67* FT coin (POP 2) bumps a 67* green monster coin that has been in my set for a decade....the rainbowroosie set be "lookin even better than good"...I'm getting ready for the next roosie showdown whenever that might be....since you have placed your baby in a proper home, how about letting me adopt her big sister -- the 50S -- she too would be right at home in roosie rainbowland!!!!imageimageimage
