PSA Review Service: would you use?

Probably discussed ad nauseum, but should I even bother with PSA's Review Service? That is, pay another $10 per card and shipping in the hope that they'll admit to error the first time? Why is the cost of this service the same as grading, aren't your chances significantly better by cracking and resubmitting?

Anyone have luck with the Review service?

Thoughts?

you nailed it ! since they are much less likely to admit their mistake and the cost is the same , crack it out and resubmit if you are confident that the cards are undergraded! good luck !
  • When you use the review service, do they give it to someone other than the initial grader? Can you request this or someone who specializes in the particular issue, e.g., tobacco, OPC, etc.?

It seems to me there's very little incentive for them to review and push the grade up... for all you know, they could knock the grade down!! Therefore, I never use the service and simply crack and resubmit! And if I wait for a special, it actually costs less.
  • 67Standup,

From painful experience, my advice would be to crack them out and include them in another raw submission. Saves on shipping, and doesn't bias their opinions.

  • Ditto that, from my experience the review service is a waste of your money and your time and you will wait forever for the cards to come back.

When I called PSA cust service a while back about this, I was told that I would be able to speak to a grader live about the review if I sent it in. Not this this means much - could still just recant the reason I got the grade in the first place. So, basis that, I would vote to crack it an sent it back in.
