I can't for the life of me figure this out - I finally sent in my 6 free grades and I'm please with MOST of the results. Sent in a '59 Morrell Snider that got a 6 (to upgrade my set) and I got 8s on 3 '56 Gum Adventure boxers. I figured the Snider for a 6 and thought at least one of the boxers would 9, but I'm satisfied. But this one, I don't know. I expected 5/6 and it came back 2! I've examined it up and down, over and over - no creases, no wrinkles, no marks, no pin holes, just a solid card with a bit of wear at the corners, but they still all come to a point, even under a 10X loupe. I'm thinking it must be a mistake - I sent in 3 cards (2 on a different submission) and the other 2, which IMHO weren't as nice, both got 5s! I guess my question is, what would y'all do? All my kitchen knives are dull, so slitting my wrists ain't an option. Do I crack and resubmit or call PSA?

MorrellMan,
Looking at the scan of the back, it looks like (from the scan anyway) there is some scuffing about half-way up the card on the right. The area that reads "...forced Augie Galan to fly out. Hack died on third. It was Goose Goslin, who came through in the Tiger ninth to score Mickey Cochrane from second with the winning run...." appears to be rubbed off. If this is the case, that would account for the 2 grade. The bold is the letters (area) in question.
Note: It could just be the scan, since other areas kinda look similarly funky.
Currently collecting.....your guess is as good as mine.
