    Those Fleer cards used "fake" checks and just had the players sign them.

    They do not actually belong to the player featured.

    Wow - then what in the world is the point of a "cut" auto card? For deceased players, cut autos are really the only choice - but for current and retired living players, why not just have them sign an actual card instead of some asinine fake "check"? And I thought band-aid autos were the worst autograph idea ever ...

    BASILONE is right, I have 1 of those Palmer cards and the numbering is identical. If they used a "real" check, a number would change to match the check # that was being used. Just another gimmick used by Fleer...jay
