1966 Topps Rub-Offs: Which side showing?

Just a question on what is the accepted way for 1966 Topps Rub-Offs to be encapsulated in PSA holders. I just received several off ebay that have the "dull" side showing. This side can be read correctly but is dull and not very nice to look at. I was just bidding on a 1966 Frank Robinson Rub-Off that had the "brighter" side showing on the front of the PSA holder. Although presented in the reverse, it is much more presentable and clearer to view. I prefer this side showing. Does anyone know the accepted way for these rub-offs to be holdered, or does it just depend on who's encapsulating on any particular day?

  • I have a couple and they both show the dull side in front. I have never seen any others on Ebay (not that I have really looked for them consistently) that were not like this. Like you said, I would guess they do it that way so that you can "read" the card.
