Type 1 / Type 2 ? "S"

Does the designate "Type 1" always refer to the filled "S", and "Type 2" always refer to the clear "S" mint mark?

Only when referencing the 1979 types. The 1981 types are both "clear" S's.

The 1981 Ss drive me crazy and give me headaches. Can anyone post a 1981 T1 along side a T2 (of the same denomination)?

It seems that the top and bottom tips of the T2 "S" has bulbs where as the ends are flat in the T1.

Too bad my 81 proof set has T-I SBA, and T-I cent. I was hoping that I'd get a really cool sett hat had T-II of both.
