Back in the saddle again

I had the time today to go to a coin store for the first time in a couple of months. I'm glad I did!

I found this beaut today to add to my George V collection.

It cost me more than twice the price of my old one, but it was worth it.

Here's the old one. Anyone need a rupee?

The first one I got cost me $25, and the new one cost me $60. I don't go for minor upgrades unless a coin is the cornerstone of my collection. I thought this was a big enough jump to justify the big price leap. image

From what I have been told, the rupee did not circulate widely (I don't know of any below VF). Most have been dipped out and show little to no luster, and that is also the case with the Fiji florins of George V's reign.
