I'm wanting to sell my Canadian collection. I talked to a dealer. He wanted a list, so I gave a list. After waiting 2 weeks for a reply, I went to see him, he offered about 40% of retail. What I don't understand is, why he didn't want to see the coins.
Is this common practice for dealers?

If you had accepted his offer, he would have asked you to bring the coins in.
Then, he would have started whining about the grades in order to make an even lower offer.

Shrewd observation, Dimitri.
Tell you what Cracker, you're better off piling them all on Ebay and let us lot go to work on them....
If you can't get good pics someone on here would do it for a small fee or 2.5% of the final value. Most would probably do it for nothing.
I would never ditch a collection to a dealer in this day and age. That's for widows. You might as well just bend over voluntarily.
