neg feedback

would you worry about negging a nonpaying bidder for a .99 item or not worry with it? just curious on your thoughts.

Thanks,

Neg Him--It's the principle that counts.image
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

Why risk getting a retaliatory neg? Just do a non-payer notice and final value fee credit. Once they get those from three separate sellers, they are gone.

I've done it over a couple of dollars--then held my breath to see whether the non-payer would retaliate. So far I've been lucky.

Yeah--let's not neg anyone because they might neg you back. Pretty soon, no negs will be left at all--everyone will have perfect feedback despite the fact that losers and ripoffs abound all over eBay. Then the feedback system will be worthless. Yeah--play it safe.

wait a sec, is it really worth negging someone over a 99 cent item? especially when they can retally and other potential customers will see that u negged someone over that 99 cent item? i think the best course of action is to do the non paying bidder thingy and then call out a hitman...hehe j/k
    Good for you.
  • I hate to say it Ebays feedback system is basically worthless already. It allows non payers to leave retalitorty feedback, allows for very tasteless comments to be left that Ebay will not remove unless they are totally vulgar.

    Bhl2359,

After 3 NPB alerts and final value credits they ARE NOT "gone". That is simply not true...

It may be written somewhere, but there are MANY eBayers that get a half dozen negs a month that are alive and well as well as one eBayer I know of off hand who got four NPB alerts and VC's against him in a week and nothing was done..."SPORTSALLEY24" formerly "JohnnyCa$h". This loser is the worst pile of dung and human refuse I've ever come across and eBay does notta. I say neg the loser and call him out. This on-line thing only works when people are responsible and forthright. Non-paying bidders or unreasonable sellers have to be called on it. Slow shipping and slow payments can be a bother, but not worth a neg as long as communication persists. My issue usually stems from not keeping their word and failing to return emails in a timely fashion. These are the most frustrating and neg-worthy traits in my opinion.
    NEG THE LOSER!!!

  • I agree with bhl2359. That's the route I took when a bidder did not pay on an '85 Topps Mark McGwire Auction. He only emailed me twice over a 90 day period. After the first email, he said the check had been mailed so I waited 10 days. When I didn't get anything, I emailed him back telling him that he had been reported as a NPB. He didn't respond. After the time limit, I asked for the credit and he was contacted by ebay. This time he emailed me again (with the proverbial "check is in the mail" again). He also asked that the NPB be removed as well. I told him, if by some miracle the check does arrive then I will remove it. It didn't, so I didn't. I also politely told him that if he decided to leave a negative feedback (without cause), I would respond in kind. I haven't heard from him since. image
