1969 football dreams of #1 shattered

Just when I have the #1 current set in the crosshairs, a new player explodes onto the scene and puts #1 out of reach for me. Dominic Dicicco's set makes its appearance at #1 with a GPA of 8.65 and a rating of 8.62. Over half the set in 9's, which are in short supply and very expensive. The one buyer I have seen on Ebay snatching these up is travelingvaz, so i'm guessing thats Dominics ID. Anyway, awesome accomplishment, Dominic, you've definitely raised the bar on this set. Back to the drawing board for me.

    I think Dominic Dicicco is yet another thinly veiled alias of Fuzz.
    Notice the two c's in Dicicco and the two z's in Fuzz.

    I do not think Dominic is Travelingvaz, I have swapped alot of emails with Dave as well as cards and do not think he has the time to place his set on the registry, he appeantly travels all the time. He just keeps on picking up these cards. There is no telling how many he has but I am pretty sure almost all the ones he picks up now(PSA 8's) he already has more then one copy of.

    Dominic is a very distinguished collector. He collects many different sets and is not afraid to spend the bucks on nice items. He is a very cool dude.

    Kurt - I've seen that Kapp PSA 10 somewhere and not on ebay. Maybe part of an auction on Mastro? Maybe they bought a partial set and then upgraded before posting. Heck of a set though along with yours.

    MGalt was buying up all the nines a year ago, including 30 of mine. Then he stoped. I have been waiting to see his set get registered. I thought he might have changed to travelingvas . Now this set gets registered. He has the #65 Wilson in psa 10 that was jfdills and I think jfdill sold it to MGalt. Anyway, weather they are one in the same or three different people that is why I gave up any thoughts of the #1 set also.

    RedSox Jeff just entered his '77 baseball set this past week & is at #2 or 3 on the registry . I saw his first 100 cards go up & knew I was going to drop a notch as soon as he finished posting.

    Deadhead here too.....Boston Garden , winter of '72-73 or 73-74 ..awesome concert !

    Galt is definetly not travelingvaz, vaz is Dave Seibert, a super nice guy. I got the Jerry pic from the list of CU icons, had one or to others loaded first but they seemed small. I needed one that felt like you are 10 rows dead center.

    I was wondering what happened to Siebert59. Glad to see Dave is still in hot pursuit of his set. His should be way up there also.
