GASPIPE: Idea of Restaurant for the Registry Dinner

I was just told about a restaurant in Berea, Ohio...just a couple minutes from the IX Center. A girl I know is having a wedding shower there...so it should be able to hold a group of Registry guys.

The name of the restaurant is called "The Station"

I have never been there before...but it is located in an old train station and I would presume has that sort of theme.

The restaurant used to be called "The Pufferbelly".

I found this post on google from a train newsgroup:

<< <i>- Berea, Ohio. Just outside Cleveland. The Pufferbelly Restaurant is
in an old NYC station and along the tracks where the NYC and PRR met.
Much CONRAIL traffic going by, and in the course of a meal you can see
3-5 serious freights go by. Food is fabulous. GREAT BAR! (When we were
there in October with the B&O RR Historical Society, CONRAIL tied up its
track geometry train here over the Columbus Day weekend.) Plenty of
easy access to the area. Berea Tower is here, and you may recall it was
featured in Trains Magazine last fall. The owner of the Pufferbelly
buys up old RR stations and firehouses and makes them restaurants.
There is an old Pullman car on this property, owned by the local elks
club, or something like that. It too is gorgeous. >>

Once again...I have never been there....any current or former Clevelanders care to comment on the restaurant.

Maybe AlanAllen would know about it.

Hmm, must have opened since I left town. Berea is pretty close though.

Berea is REAL close to the IX just to the South. When we stayed at the Comfort Inn about
five miles from the IX, we went through Berea if not taking the interstate to/from the IX.

1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards
