Are the coppers to be auctioned tonight in Heritage's Live auction?

I wanted to watch it on e-bay live. I opened it up, and there's nothing going on right now.

    Did you?

I watched some of it. I got 1 of the 2 I bid on I think. Some of the prices didn't seem that ridiculous, or even rather low. I wonder if the quality of the coins that sold cheap were not that good?

I dont know. I wasnt there. I almost bid on that 54-P in PCGS 66RD. It looked like a real screamer. I decided against it, though. The TNA show is next week and I'd like to have a few green backs to rub together when I go. I think I saw it hammer at $600 not counting the juice.

    I'm sure I won the 1916-S in PCGS 65BN, though. That's 127 down, 13 to go image.

  • Bidding seemed very active on some lots and weaker on others. As usual, quality brought the strong prices. Compare the 25-S and the 21-S. Both are very rare, both graded PCGS MS-65RD, but clearly a big difference in the "eye appeal/PQ" category. The 25-S brings around 38K (w/ juice), while the 21-S didn't break 6k (and probably didn't sell). I thought the 15-D in 66RD was a splendid coin (at least in the pics) and it hammered at $12,000. With these prices, the Lincolns are coming out of the woodwork. This sale had a good number of really nice coins.
