eBay email question

I received this email from eBay Safe Harbor:

<< <i>eBay Fraud Mediation Request
You have recieved this email because you or someone had used your account to make fake bids at eBay. For security purposes, we are required to open an investigation into this matter. >>

I checked my 'My Ebay' page and I don't see any 'fake' bids. Is this email for real or one of those fake ebay emails?

I don't know, but if I received that email and everythnig looked proper with my account, I would send it to Safe Harbor and ask them if it's real.

On the surface it sounds pretty suspicious. Assume for now that it is a fake, especially if it comes with any links. Also right click on the email (if using outlook) and look at "Properties." Click on the "details" tab and investigate where the email actually came from.

Or you can just forward it to spoof@ebay.com and you will get your answer.

It's always best to forward those to spoof@ebay.com. I have received one like that, but the eBay logo and all were B&W, not color. I forwarded it to spoof and was later informed it was a fake.
