UK coin values

To all those Brit collectors out there, I just found a useful (IMHO) online coin value guide. Not sure how accurate it is or whether the values match Krause / Spink or what you find on ebay.

I thought it was worth a quick look though. Anybody know anything about it?

Tony is a good guy and his website is full of useful information. However, his prices are bound to be out of date and should only be used as a guide (much as Krause).

UK prices have changed a great deal. Tony's site remains required reading for any aspiring or experienced British coin collector. I visit often.

I only accept payment in full red BU Victorian pennies. Send me 16,800 of those pennies and you've got a deal!!image

I know you have a lot of rolls of them lying about.

Wouldn't that be loverly? Let 'em get excited about the Wells Fargo hoard of $20s or the ship wreck hoards. Give me just one opportunity in my life to be a part of a big, red copper hoard deal of VYH and life would be complete!! image

That's a really good website for British coins - I use it a lot for details. But as said previously, the prices are way out of line. They're usually out of line even when updated since the basis is the "coin year book" (which is naff). They do however, give you an idea for the rarer dates for a particular type. Good site with a LOT of hard work invested.

QUESTION: does anyone know of similar sites for other countries? For instance, there's that www.irishcoinage.com which is not bad.
