Most of the British coins NEN has up are graded by NGC

I wonder why this is?

I hate feeling like I have to use PCGS for US coins and NGC for British, thats $200 per year before the first coin gets sent in!image

Actually I believe NEN may use NGC over PCGS because of the faster turnaround time.

It really depends on the series... Just buy the coin and not the plastic. I know that sounds trite and not to mention, over-used, but if you see enough coins graded by TPG companies, I think we can all agree that all of them have a share a attractive coins graded well and some that are not...

I consider faster turaround vs. perception of extra value in PCGS slabs when sending coins off. I would like to use PCGS for everything, but most British coins still go to NGC.

    Pure Econ 101.

As a collector it's bad enough to endure nearly 3 months total turnaround on a submission. If you're a dealer, tying up funds for 3 months is untenable. Might that be one reason why PCGS slabs cost more? Hmmmmmm? image
