PSA Resubmissions

We hear all the time about people cracking holders and resubmitting cards to PSA.
Situation: you get your card back from PSA and don't like the grade.
So, here are two questions:
1. Do you believe it is OK to crack the holder and resubmit it?
2. How do you think PSA feels about the practice?
I'm curious to see how everyone feels about these two questions.

Good questions... after a little thought, here's my 2¢:
If you disgaree with a grade assigned to a card, I have no problem with cracking it to resubmit. If you are willing to assume the risk of damaging the card, I don't see any ethical issue. Now, if you are cracking a PSA 5 with a wrinkle so you can "soak" it up to an 8, that's one thing, but if you think Darth Grader was too harsh, why not?
I don't think PSA minds! More revenue for them! They probably are not too happy about skewing the Pop Report, but that is more harmful to those who overpay for Lo-Pop cards than ayone else.
Better to crack the holder from Brand X before sending it to PSA?
edited to add: yes it is BETTER to crack brand X before submitting
Im not happy and I do not beleive "grading" should be subjective. When I was an MP REGARDLESS of what happened the night before or during the day EVERYONE got treated the same. The Grading companies should hold the same standard. (b4 you comment read what Im TRYING to say)
But how is the big question. "Physically" its easy. Gloss, shine, etc. is a little harder. Billy in a bad mood cause his Girl friend dumped him last night.....do you really want him grading your card?
PSA is the leader and there is no question they (PSA graded) gets a premium over most others thats why MOST of us are here. Now how do help them improve......
Sorry a little off topic...............
Unless it's a very tough card that you just can't find, I don't see much upside in resubmitting cards unless you're crossing them over to your holder of choice.

Hello,
People are free to crack the cards out of our holders. Many people
that
do this will send the flip back to us so that we can delete it from the
Population report.

Just thought at this point, I would add the response I got from PSA on the topic. No problem on the crack jobs.

Keith - good point - they commented that some turn in the flip - I would not give that to them till later since that could 'influence' their grading of the card IMO.

2. I don't think PSA minds at all- they have required membership fees and upped shipping fees, do you really think they'd mind if you'd pay them to do the same thing 2 or more times?
This is why the pop report is better used as a guide than an absolute- especially on the mid grades of any particular issue.

Mike;
I actually save the old flips... next time I have submission, I'll turn them in. But, as you said, not until after the card has been regraded!

and PSA believes in this also. I've said it once and I'll say it again, 10-15 percent of PSA submissions are based on crack-outs and crossovers. You can do the math on 7,000,000 cards graded.
Nice chunk of $$$$
