<< <i>up for bids is just one of the high valued gems in my collection a 1966 Bobby Orr rookie card #35! This card was left behind by the family who used to live in the house that I now own and they said they didn't want them. There was several old and new rookie cards left and I have decided to see what I can get for this one. This card looks to be in near mint condition with 4 corners that show some wear but nothing too bad, there are no bends or creases and no scratches. This card carries a book value of $2500US but I do not expect to receive anywhere near that for this one. I will be offering several other nice rookie cards in weeks to come so remeber to check back. Shipping for this auction is $3US,paypal accepted along with money orders(international only please) and cash at your own risk.all sales are final.payments are due within 10 days of auctions end or negative feedback will be given and item relisted.serious bidders only please! >>

I mean do these people think we're dumb or something? Can you imagine this...

Phone call:

RINGGGGGGG, RINGGGGGGG...

Bob: Hello?
Fred: Hey, Bob, how are you doing? It's me, Fred.
Bob: Oh, hey Fred. How's everything going with you?
Fred: Oh good, I am just calling to let you know that yesterday I was unpacking my stuff in your old basement and found several sports cards.
Bob: I see. Well, I no longer collect cards anymore. I have other more important things to do with my life now. Thanks for letting me know.
Fred:But...uhhhh...they are just not any ordinary cards, if you know what I mean.
Bob: Oh, are you talking about the RC lot I was once putting together in mint condition? I mean the Bobby Orr, Michael Jordan, Patrick Roy, Mario Lemieux...??
Fred:That's right. The lot must book at around $10, 000 to $15, 000.
Bob: Naw. It's alright. You can have them.

<< <i>As this card is not graded all sales are final and no refunds or returns,if you do not agree to these terms then please do not bid, serious bidders only please.Thank you and good luck!! >>

You pretty much covered all the lunacy but what about the logic of all sales final since it is NOT graded! What's that all about? This auction has run like the wind written all over it!

  • Lets see, a zero feedback seller, private auction, far away photos of the cards and of course the cherished story about some relative or friend giving him the cards. Stay away from this auction like a plane full of SARS victims.

I hate those "new house, found some odd cards in the basement..." descriptions more than anything. Basically they read, "Hey, birdbrain. Look here. I passed Phys. Ed in high school on my second try. I'm a door to door wet vacuum cleaner who can't make his quota. However, I'm slick and tricky. I stole some money from my kids' piggybanks and never got caught. I want to get up some more spare money to buy some cool Revo sunglasses and a hat I can wear backwards. Also, there's a nitrous kit for my 1988 KIA my friend will sell me for 500 bucks. These cards are my ticket to a Fast And Furiious stunt driving gig. Gotta run. My plastic pool is almost filled and I've farted up the trailer."

    "My Dog Needs Braces Sale"
Thats right, the vet informed me that my dog is going to have to have braces and I have to sell my dad's old baseball cards. I have had these since he died 15 years ago and the collection includes some great lebrons and melos. I hoped to give this collection to my dog one day but I need money for his braces so it can be yours for one low low price.

    P.S.
The Jordan Rookie is fake for sure.

Pretty sad. The Orr, Lemieux, Roy, and Jordan are all counterfeits.....or mildly putting it "reprints without the reprint stamp". I have all 3 except the Orr that I display in my office as a novelty. I hate jerks that pass them off as the real thing. People get burned, then leave the hobby....but do you blame them for being uneducated in high $ cards expecting to get them for pennies?

I know pretty much nothing about hockey cards so I wasn't sure. Those countefeits are interesting items. I have 4 variations of the Jordan so when someone comes up at a show with one I pull mine out and watch them start sweating. I usually tell them that I have a friend that is looking to pay top dollar for one, I will call the police station and see if he is still on his shift he may just come over and buy it. LOL
