Numislit is a good source for numismatic books.

Cacheman, does bok mean something? Other than the fact that I can't spell.

Nah! They just piled them up. Nothing too high grade, but I'm sure they placed a few extra ubiquitous British fingerprints on them.....Good DNA trail for Sherlock I s'pose.

Dittos to Charlie. Top-notch bookseller. And people actually have thought they were buying coins in the past......can you say, DOPES??
  • Well, if someone tries to crudely transliterate the Cantonese word for "white vegetable" into English it comes out as "bok choy."

That is an interesting list of books he is selling, and much as I like buying coins, I like buying books even more (my lifetime history with Amazon should surely earn me a place in their sales history).

Is this seller pretty open to unsolicited 'I want' emails?

  • I wish he had a book I'm looking for, Medals of Mexico Vol. II by Frank Grove. I was cheap and didn't bid high enough for one on Ebay a couple weeks ago, and the cheapest I just saw on that ABE books was $65. Hopefully I get a new gift cert. soon from Amazon (reward from their Visa card) so I can buy one from there...one of their sellers has one at $50.

Eureka, why don't you email him with your "want list"? While he may not have one in stock, I'm sure he networks with other numismatic literature dealers and may be able to run down a copy for you.

To me books are worth their weight in gold! I have a numismatic library of over 250 titles and I'm adding to it all the time! Well worth the money IMO!image

GCL- you say in your sig line you are looking for fanams.

I still have three of these left:

Plus, if the trade I have going with another member goes through, I will have ten more small world gold coins from various countries and a platinum one. Actually, I already have them in hand, but am waiting for the final approval of the trade.

I'll try to scrap up the money, friend. I had to spend $18 to fix my slab and am milked out at this moment. I don't have a job but have submitted several applications.

They ain't goin' anywhere anytime soon. I wanted to keep three, which is why I quit using that picture in my signature line. If you want one of the three I saved, though, just PM me when you are ready.

A lot of the new gold I got is gonna be cheap. There were several 1/20 oz. coins and even a 1/25 oz. piece from Gibraltar.
