-"The Minting Process:How Coins are Made and Mismade"

BREEN,Walter-1970

I'm looking at buying it but "unseen". Is it a decent book describing the minting process at the time? does it go back to "the beginning" of US minting?

yes I know about the man imageimageimage

How's the book though.

There is a similar book published by the ANA right now that is excellent. It follows the minting process and shows many varieties of errors possible. And it was published more recently.

The Breen book is excellent, but obviously it is dated.

The ANA has published a correspondence course written by James Wiles on the Modern Minting Process combined with US Minting Errors and Varieties. Although already dated (as some procedures have changed), it is the best book out there on the current minting process.
